PTI Won 180 Seats; PML-N Secured 17 Seats But Mandate was Handed Over to PMLN – Rana Amir

In a decisive election outcome in February 2024, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) emerged as the clear winner, securing 180 seats, while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) managed to win only 17 seats.

Despite PTI’s commanding lead, the election mandate was handed over, raising questions about the political process and the implementation of electoral results.

Rana Amir, a police officer, alleged that following the release of a video regarding election fraud, a PECA Act case was registered against him, and he was dismissed from his job. He later secured bail from the Lahore High Court in the PECA Act case. He described the incident on 8 February 2024 as “the biggest theft in human history.”

Election analysts have described the situation as unprecedented, emphasizing the contrast between the party’s electoral performance and the subsequent handling of the mandate.
