In a development that has sparked debate on social media and political circles, PTI MPA Capt Izzat Javaid Khan is reported to have married his son to the daughter of Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum an individual involved in the 2022 assassination attempt on former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Wazirabad.
The same individual is accused of being involved in the killing of journalist Arshad Sharif and purportedly played a role in actions that led to the fall of Khan’s government in April 2022.
A political observer stated:
“This alleged connection has raised questions about loyalties and relationships within political circles, and it has become a topic of heated discussion.”
Several people reportedly ended personal relations with those supporting the regime, citing moral objections and disapproval of the alleged connections.
