SHO Gul Naz, after defying court orders to allow Imran Khan’s family and companions to meet him, cracked down on a peaceful sit-in by Imran Khan’s sisters, supporters and leaders who were protesting against Imran Khan’s isolation. According to Noreen Khan sister of Imran Khan, the overweight policewoman (Gul Naz) appears to be recruited solely to create chaos, causing disruption and forcibly dragging peaceful protesters.
SHO Gul Naz, acting on instructions from her senior police officers who, under the directives of General Asim Munir and Maryam Nawaz, cracked down on women protesters. Witnesses stated that police officer snatched veils from women and dragged them on the roads in what has been described as an aggressive and unjust approach.
The incident has further tarnished the reputation of Punjab police, which is already notorious for its heavy-handed tactics. The force is now crossing all limits in its conduct, raising serious concerns about human rights violations and police brutality.
