From Mianwali to Mandi Bahauddin, Bannu to Mardan, raids on PTI workers’ homes, property damage, arrests and detentions have emerged as the September 27 mobilisation approached.
Police door-to-door searches were also reported across Punjab, while more than 150 PTI leaders and workers were detained under 3-MPO in the Rawalpindi division. The KP Assembly Speaker separately sought official details of lawmakers and ministers whose homes had been raided or who had been detained.
The pattern is clear: pressure is being used to discourage political mobilisation but political participation cannot be silenced through raids, intimidation or fear.
