For twelve long months, they have been denied even the most basic rights. No lawyer has been allowed to defend them. No family has been permitted to see them. They have been kept in complete isolation, silenced by design. Why? Because the regime is terrified of their voices. It knows that the moment Junaid and Salman walk free, they will speak the truth about transnational repression, about the abuses they have endured, and about the regime’s campaign of fear. This is not just their struggle, it is a symbol of what awaits anyone who dares to speak up for democracy and justice. Their one-year incarceration is not a reflection of their crime, but of the regime’s insecurity. The question is not why Junaid and Salman are still behind bars. The real question is: how much longer will silence be used as a weapon against truth?

Two Pakistani youths, Junaid and Salaman, have been unjustly imprisoned for a year in a foreign land for speaking the truth and raising questions about the ongoing oppression and lawlessness in the country. These questions are not of any party or social media team but are the questions of the Pakistani nation.
