The 26th constitutional amendment is a direct attack on the soul of the constitution and independence of the Judiciary. The government did not have the required two third majority, so it resorted to blackmailing and buying votes from PTI members of Parliament. Justice Qazi had earlier reversed the Supreme Court ruling, which resulted in permitting the government to commit horse-trading.
