Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has once again issued strong warnings ahead of the planned protest, saying the government will not leave any “loopholes” in its response if PTI proceeds with the march.
Given Pakistan’s recent history of deadly confrontations during political protests, such statements cannot simply be ignored.
In a peaceful protest, there must be no violence, no excessive force, and no attempt to manufacture a confrontation or false-flag incident.
The responsibility lies with those in power to ensure that not a single peaceful protester is harmed.
Respect the constitutional right to peaceful protest.
Do not turn political dissent into another tragedy.

Naqvi has history of first veiled threats, then unleashing deadly crackdown on peaceful protestors. He once again repeated his intention as Imran Khan’s supporters are conducting peaceful sit-ins.
