The video of his arrest is on the record Today, SP Muzaffarabad stated in the court that Shaukat Nawaz Mir is “absconding”. How can a man arrested by the state itself, in sunlight, be declared absconding by the same state? If an arrest made in front of everyone is denied in court, what does it say about the rule of law in Azad Kashmir after 100 days of curfew, protests and deaths? This is no longer just about one man. This is about enforced disappearance. The state must answer: Where is Shaukat Nawaz Mir ?
