The @commonwealthsec has just thrown @GovtofPakistan under the bus. The Commonwealth has confirmed the authenticity of the report published by Drop Site yesterday AND confirmed that the report had already been shared with the Government of Pakistan. We now hope that both @SGCommonwealth and @ForeignOfficePK will answer a few more questions:

– Is it true the Commonwealth had privately shared the report with Ishaq Dar several months ago?
– Did the Commonwealth not urge the Government of Pakistan to share the report with the opposition parties, especially the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (the principal victim of the state of Pakistan’s systemic rigging in the February 2024 elections), as is the Commonwealth’s usual practice?
– Since the Government of Pakistan clearly did not share the report with any of the opposition parties, would the Commonwealth have been content to let the matter rest if Drop Site had not managed to obtain the report?
– In the interest of transparency, would the Commonwealth share details of what kind of state-level hospitality and gifts the former and current Secretary General and their staff have received from the Government of Pakistan since February 2024?
