Jehanzeb Paracha, a UK resident and social media activist, met MP Andrew Pakes and apprised him about the transnational repression that British Pakistanis are facing.
Mentioning the case of Sara Mir who had to deactivate her X account under duress, due to the threats she received from Pakistan’s intelligence agencies. Mashwani Azhar and Shayan Ali cases were also mentioned. “They and many others are a victim of transnational repression by the military backed illegitimate Pakistani regime, only because they exercised their right to freedom of speech.”
Jehanzeb urged all British Pakistanis to reach out to their local MP and apprise them about this dire situation being faced by British Pakistanis.
